Abstract
The problem of finite bimaterial plates with an interfacial crack subject to a uniaxial loading was studied by using the eigenfunction expansion variation method (EEVM). Interfacial stress intensity factors (ISIFs) associated with the stress and displacement fields were determined. The effects of material properties and crack geometry on ISIFs and stress distributions were investigated. Finally, a simple expression of ISIFs for finite bimaterial plates is proposed. © 1989.
