摘要
The structures of the glycerol liquid/vapor interface was investigated, using surface-specific sum-frequency vibrational spectroscopy. The orientation of CH 2 groups of the glycerol molecules at the surface was also analyzed. The tilt angle of the CH 2 was also investigated with the confirmation that the twist angle was averaged over all orientation around C-C bond. The molecules of glycerol were found to be polar ordered with the CH 2 and CH groups which were protruding out of the surface with small amount of the hydrogen bonded OH group.
