Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Inorganic Chemistry
Reaction of ligand MeTe(CH 2 ) 3 TeMe with AgBF 4 in CH 3 CN produced the light-sensitive polymeric coordination complex [Ag(MeTe(CH 2 ) 3 TeMe) 2 ] n [BF 4 ] n . This compound crystallized in the monoclinic space group P2 1 /n with a = 8.755(3) Å,b = 20.441(8) Å, c = 12.227(3) Å, β = 103.13(3)°, V= 2130.9(12) Å 3 , Z = 4, F(000) = 1504. Final R = 0.057 and R w = 0.062 resulted from refinement of 2776 total reflections with 154 parameters. Reaction of (Te(p-C 6 H 4 F)) 2 and AgBF 4 in acetonitrile at ambient temperature generated red, light-sensitive [Ag 2 (NCCH 3 ) 4 -(μ2-(p-C 6 H 4 F)TeTe(p-C 6 H 4 F)) 2 ][BF 4 ] 2 , a homodiorganyl ditelluride doubly-bridged complex. Crystal data: triclinic space group P1, a = 6.835(2) Å, b = 13.255(2) Å, c = 13.824(4) Å, a = 116.48(3)°, β = 95.95(2)°, γ = 98.90(2)°, V= 1086.2(4) Å 3 , Z = 1, ϱ calcd = 2.165 g cm″ 3 , μ = 36.13 cm −1 , F(000) = 668. Refinement of 3807 reflections and 254 parameters gave R = 0.027 and R w = 0.028. Treatment of (MeTe) 2 with CuCl in CH 3 CN at ambient temperature yielded polymeric [(μ 2 -MeTeTeMe)Cu(μ-Cl)] n . Crystal data: monoclinic space group P2 1 / c, a = 9.923(2) Å,b = 8.091(2) Å, c = 10.232(3) Å, β = 116.01(2)°, V = 738.3(3) Å 3 , Z = 2, F(000) = 668. Refinement of 949 reflections and 56 parameters gave R = 0.027 and R w = 0.025. © 1995, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
