Bi-dentate pyrrole-amine and pyrrole-imine Ketiminate Tungsten imido Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Inorganic Chemistry Materials Chemistry
Three new imido tungsten derivatives containing bi-dentate pyrrole-amine, pyrrole-imine or ketiminate precursor were synthesized and characterized. Reacting W(N t Bu) 2 (NH t Bu) 2 with two equiv of C 4 H 3 NH(2-CH 2 NH t Bu) and C 4 H 3 NH(2-CHNCH 2 Py) in diethyl ether and toluene generates [W(N t Bu) 2 {C 4 H 3 N(2-CH 2 NH t Bu)} 2 ] (1) and [W(N t Bu) 2 {C 4 H 3 N(2-CHNCH 2 Py)} 2 ] (2) in good yield. Similarly, while subjecting two equiv of (ArNCMeCHCMeOH) (Ar = 2-MeOC 6 H 4 ) with W(N t Bu) 2 (NH t Bu) 2 in diethyl ether, affords [W(N t Bu) 2 {OCMeCHCMeNAr} 2 ] (3) in high yield. Single crystal X-ray structure reveals that in all three complexes the 6-coordinate W atoms belong to a distorted octahedral environment. © 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
