Abstract

The syntheses, acid-catalysed rearrangements and demetallation chemistry of CpW(CO) ₃ (η ¹ -C=CR-CHR ¹ -O-CH ₂ ) (R = CHCH ₂ , C≡CPh; R ¹ = alkyl, phenyl; Cp = C ₅ H ₅ ) are reported, and their synthetic-utility in organic reactions is demonstrated.
