An ultrasensitive on-column absorption detection method based on laser induced string-like vibration of a capillary (CVL) was applied for CZE separation and detection of ultramicro amounts of nonderivatized amino acids. Electropherograms showed good separation and ultrasensitive detections of tryptophan and phenylalanine.
