Abstract

The resonant Raman scattering experiments, were analyzed for the one-dimensional Luttinger liquid fixed point systems. The quantum wire systems, were unaffected by the Luttinger liquid effects, due to the differences in the Luttinger and the Fermi liquids. It was found that the Luttinger liquid theory, cannot explain the experimental data, as the Raman spectroscopy experiments are not in the asymptotic low energy regime.
