Abstract
Over the past few years, the domestic researches on the field of management science have been prospering and it has also given rise to the thriving of academic scholars in this field. By observing the research funding statistics, the recent yearly research funding approved and granted by the National Science Council (NSC) has been very considerable. In order to obtain a better understanding of the research subjects attracted to the Taiwanese general management scholars as well as to analyze the trend and potential themes in the international management domain, this paper aims to investigate on the topics of academic research projects approved by NSC between 2001~2005 as well as study the major subjects considered by the top tier international academic journals between 2003~2005. The results of this study not only we hope it could be served as an evaluation basis for NSC to ensure high quality academic research but also to provide a potential research guide for the local scholars in the arena.
