Abstract
The development of the mentoring system has a long history and has been regarded as the key to cultivate talents in a modern society where human resources are highly competitive. It has also been operating in the education sector for a long time and has been widely used in primary and secondary education. Most of the mentoring process is led by the master (the senior) to lead the apprentice (the junior), providing assistance in three ways: "Vocational Function", "Psychological support", and "Role modeling". However, due to the different ways that Master leads, it leads to differences in the effectiveness of assistance. Therefore, in order to improve the effectiveness of the apprenticeship system, the researcher expected to strengthen Master's guiding process by studying the relationship and weight of the mentoring functions. Researcher used Interpretative Structural Model (ISM) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for the study of target architecture relationships and weights. The functional and faculty of the study included the three main aspects of the "Vocational Function", "Psychological support", and "Role modeling", and its sub-facial. The research objects were education scholars and experts, education administrators, national primary school principals, directors, and teachers who had served as a master or apprentice in the Hsinchu City area. Based on the subjective opinions of the different identities of Master and Apprentice, researcher used ISM to judge the relationship between factors and establish the hierarchical structure and used AHP to explore the relative weight of indicators. The results of the study showed that the psychosocial support function was the first priority regardless of the relevance or weight of the apprentice function. Finally, through researching, the order and weight of the results, researcher provided masters Mentoring Functions paths, education training curriculum plans, and future related research plans.
