Abstract
This paper is one part of our report on a study of socio-cultural and psychological conditions of the overseas chinese students in the colleges of Taiwan. Th study is in turn a part of our large project on oversas chinese in Southeast Asia shich is co-sponsored by the Institute of Ethonology, Academia Sinica and the China Council on East Asian Studies.
