Abstract
Production Management can be divided into three levels of decision -- short term, intermediate term, and long term. This study focuses on the short term release control for the front-end wafer fabrication of semiconductor manufacturing. The main tool used is Queue Management technique proposed by Leachman [10]. This paper uses pseudo code to present the detail computation algorithm, utilizes simulation to obtain the control parameters, and reports the application of this technique in a real manufacturing environment.
