Abstract
The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationships between elementary school principal’s emotional intelligence leadership, teacher’s organizational citizenship behavior, and climate for organizational innovation. Questionnaire survey was used. In addition, this study used structural equation modeling with prospective data to test for model fit. The findings indicate that principal’s emotional intelligence leadership and teacher’s organizational citizenship behavior positively affect climate for organizational innovation. Besides, principal’s emotional intelligence leadership indirectly affects climate for organizational innovation by way of teacher’s organizational citizenship behavior. The results suggest that the principal should implement principal’s emotional intelligence leadership to accelerate teacher’s organizational citizenship behavior in order to improve the whole climate for organizational innovation.
