Abstract
This study is designed by literature review and analysis to discuss the sisterhood relationship and lesbian phenomenon in female sports team. The results show that Self-in-Relation Theory can explain why female athletes are interdependent and empathic when getting along with each other. Besides, literatures indicate that emotional-based trait of females can be the reason for sisterhood relationship. The findings also indicate the necessity to realize about the recognition of homosexual identity. Furthermore, stigmatization brings much pressure on female athletes and the thoughts of lesbian athletes are included in the exploration. This study can offer an idea for coaches to lead a female sports team. Suggestions are made for future study.
