Abstract
The theory of Ren Xin Dao Xin is the crucial core of Confucian Orthodoxy. Korean Confucianists have discussed comprehensively on this issue and even draw their diagrams to express different views. In this essay, I will collect diagrams of Ren Xin Dao Xin and summarize as 3 main types. 1st: to revise the initial diagram by Chinese Cofucianist Wang bo. 2nd: to continue the method “Yi Ti Zhong Che” by Yi Hwang and his follower Zhao Mu. 3rd: to follow Yi I’s ”Zhi Chu Heng Sheng” structure which is based on Zhuzi’s “Diagram of Sincere Thoughts”. In addition, Yi I brought forward his thesis: “good and evil in human minds”. But this does not reflect his diagram and arouses discussions by later scholars.By studying the diagram types, we can see the consistency of those unique designs and arrangements and observe the brilliant connections between philosophical thoughts and drawing of Xing Li diagram. Thus, Korean Confucianists’ basic view of Ren Xin Dao Xin diagram can be analyzed.
