Abstract
The laborers from different nations have different leisure behaviors caused by their cross-culture differences. The main purpose of this study is to explore the relationship among their leisure preference, participation, constraint, satisfaction and life satisfaction. The result of this study showed: First, leisure preference have positive influence to native leisure participation from laborers of these two different countries, moreover, native leisure participation is also positively related to leisure participation in Taiwan. The leisure constraint have significant negative influence to leisure participation and satisfaction, nevertheless, leisure participation have positive influence to leisure satisfaction in Taiwan, and higher leisure satisfaction can provoke high life satisfaction. Second, the influence of leisure participation in native country to leisure participation in Taiwan on Thai laborers is greater than Philippine laborers. The Thai laborers have higher leisure constrain than Philippine laborers, which make Philippine laborers have more leisure participation and leisure satisfaction. Third, in Taiwan, Philippine laborers usually engaged in the "social", "physical" and "knowledge and art" activities, and Thai laborers mostly attended "social", "disengagement" activities. Fourth, Thai laborers have higher leisure constraints than Philippine laborers, and most constraints are inter-personal constraint and structure constraint. Fifth, the satisfactions from physical and aesthetic dimension of Philippine laborers are higher than Thai laborers; however, the psychological, education, social dimension of Thai laborers are higher than Philippine laborers. Sixth, Thai laborers' life satisfactions from working dimension are higher than Philippine laborers. This study demonstrates that there are significant differences between leisure participation, constraints, satisfaction and life satisfaction in Taiwan of laborers from different countries.
