Abstract
In an era when the technology of multi-media is continuously developed and invented, the synthesis of the visual and the audio has become a common experience. The exploration of combining the sensory modes, however, is not a new territory. Synesthesia between image and sound has too been verified by science. This paper focuses on the interactive relationship between color and music. How color may be generated through various elements of music will be explored. Noted artistic practices, either color being embodied by music or music being aroused by color, will be investigated. Also, considering the recent trend of colored music, one may envision possible applications of music-color synesthesia in all kinds of field.
