Despite the United States retreating from green subsidies, governments across the Indo-Pacific are accelerating their investment in green technology to address energy security, climate pressures and industrial competitiveness. This intensifying policy race — driven by China’s leadership and widespread economic incentives — risks global economic distortions unless managed through transparency, reciprocity and regional cooperation.
