Abstract

Capillary driven flow effects on heat and mass transfer is spherical, gas/liquid inclusions are examined numerically. The effects of Soret coefficient, temperature gradient, and thermal and concentration Marangoni numbers are presented. Internal convection exhibits minor influence on heat transfer, but can have significant effect on mass transfer for steep temperature gradients and large Marangoni numbers. (A)
