Abstract
The present invention discloses a flipping algorithm for implementing enhanced discrete wavelet transform hardware and the hardware structure thereof, which is based on a conventional enhanced structure to multiply the edges on the cutset of the multiplier between the basic operation units with the inversed number of the multiplying coefficients, so as to cut off the accumulation effect of time delay; then, separating the operation points in the basic operation units into two adders, and using the flipping structure to improve the defect of too-long critical path. Thus, the present invention can keep the advantages of enhanced structure in the hardware requirement, and also greatly reduce the critical paths to achieve the optimized hardware structure.
