Abstract
A discontinuous reception mode control method in long term evolution system includes judging a state of a package register according to a package amount of the package register. When the package amount lesser than an empty threshold, the package register is under an empty state, and an empty counter starts counting. If the empty counter counting completely, the on-duration of the user equipment reduces at least one frame in a DRX cycle and the off-duration of the user equipment corresponded increases at least one frame in a DRX cycle. When the package amount larger than an overload threshold, the package is under an overload state, and an overload counter starts counting. If the overload counter completely, the on-duration of the user equipment increases at least one frame in a DRX cycle and the off-duration of the user equipment corresponded reduces at least one frame in a DRX cycle.
