Abstract
A three port optical polarization beam combiner is disclosed. It is used for combining two optical pump beams to increase optical pumping power in DWDM system. The combiner will combine two beams having orthogonal polarization and transmission to another port. By non-reciprocal effect of a half-wave plate and a Faraday rotator, the reverse noise will be isolated to improve transmission quality and protect the laser lens.
