Abstract
A Three-dimensional photonic crystals assembly includes a first substrate, a first photonic crystal unit and a second photonic crystal unit. The first photonic crystal unit includes a plurality of first nanoparticles with uniform diameter. The second photonic crystal unit includes a plurality of second nanoparticles with uniform diameter. The diameter of the first nanoparticles is different from that of the second nanoparticles. The three-dimensional photonic crystals assembly provides a relatively large photonic band gaps. A method and a device for manufacturing the three-dimensional photonic crystals are also included. The device provides constant temperature environment for ultrasonication, thereby allowing the nanoparticles to self-assemble into photonic crystals. The method can save production time, improve efficiency of self-assembly of the nanoparticles, and produce three-dimensional photonic crystals assembly with relatively good quality.
