Abstract
The present invention provides an apparatus and method for manufacturing epichlorohydrin by reacting allyl chloride and hydrogen peroxide. The manufacturing apparatus includes at least one reactor, anallyl chloride supply device, a hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution supply device, a distillation column, and a phase separator. The allyl chloride supply unit is connected to the reactor. The hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution supply device is connected to the reactor. The distillation column is connected to the discharge port of the reactor. The phase separator is connected to the bottom of thedistillation column to form an aqueous phase product and an organic phase product including epichlorohydrin in the phase separator. The above apparatus and method for manufacturing epichlorohydrin canhave a preferable reaction conversion ratio and a low production cost.
