Abstract
A power generating system of utilizing heat of oxidation of active metal includes: a cylinder defining a combustion chamber and having a main body, an intake valve and an exhaust valve; a piston disposed movably in the cylinder; an electrical arc generating means having first and second electrodes extending into the cylinder and spaced apart from each other by a gap; an active metal wire supplier for supplying a first active metal wire as the first electrode into the combustion chamber; and a power supply electrically connected to the first and second electrodes so as to generate an electrical arc and thus vaporize the first active metal wire. This invention also discloses a power generating method of utilizing oxidation heat of active metal.
