Abstract
A bass-reinforcing plane horn enclosure apparatus and a design method are disclosed, comprising firstly, designing an initial size of a horn enclosure and then selecting and mounting a plane diaphragm and a suspension suitable for the horn enclosure to one side of the horn enclosure, and setting a shaker in a center of the plane diaphragm to form a plane horn speaker. Next, electro-mechanic constants of the horn speaker is measuerd by EMA and the electro-mechanic constants are used to determine a suitable volume and a passive diaphragm of the horn enclosure. The passive diaphragm is mounted to the other side of the horn enclosure to form a horn enclosure prototype. At last, a plane horn enclosure is completed after the parameters related to the prototype. The invention extends low frequency response of the plane speaker to acquire gamut requirement.
