Abstract

Disclosed is an optically-induced dielectrophoresis chip for manipulating biomolecules with optically-induced dielectrophoresis force generated along with a control system, the optically-induced dielectrophoresis chip including a substrate, a first electrode layer disposed on the substrate, an interface modification layer disposed on the first electrode layer and made by organic polymer, a photo-conductive layer disposed on the interface modification layer, a barrier layer disposed on the photo-conductive layer, a compartment forming layer disposed on the barrier layer and defining a compartment, and a second electrode layer disposed on the compartment forming layer and covering the compartment. The photo-conductive layer is made of organic polymer with great optical absorbance. Since the cost of the organic polymer is low, and the organic polymer can be fabricated by low-cost methods like spin coating, a simple and quick process can be provided.
