Abstract
The invention provides a compact optical circulator with 3-port, wherein one side is aligned with a dual-core collimator and another side is aligned with a single-core collimator. The optical circulator has an angle adjustment for coupling light emitted from the dual-core collimator, or directing light into the dual-core collimator. In the invention, the optical circulator further includes a reflective compensator for compensating the optical path difference between two polarized lights travelling through a birefringent device in the optical circulator. Thus, the birefringent device can eliminate the polarization mode dispersion in the optical circulator. The invention further reduces the production cost for neglecting the half wave plate in the optical circulator.
