Abstract
A method for eliminating the poultry of low egg production rate at the specific weeks of age by using at least one biomarker, comprising: constructing a plurality of databanks, wherein each databank includes the concentration of at least one biomarker of a plurality of fowls at one or more specific weeks of age, the resulting scores corresponding to the concentration, the resulting codes derived from at least one algorithm corresponding to the scores, total egg production, egg production rate, etc.; setting a predetermined egg production rate in the plurality of databanks, and defining at least one distribution range of the codes of those fowls whose egg production rates are lower than the predetermined one; measuring the concentration of the biomarker(s) of fowls under test at the specific weeks of age; transforming said concentration into scores, and transforming said scores into corresponding codes by the algorithm; matching the resulting codes in the plurality of databanks; if the resulting codes of fowls under test appearing in the defined distribution ranges of the plurality of databanks for a predetermined time(s), then estimating those fowls as poultry of low egg production rate.
