Abstract
This invention relates to a tunable micro-aspheric lens. It dynamically alters the bottom area and the central height of a liquid-filled polymer lens by two sets of potential differences provided by two sets of electrodes. The tunable micro-aspheric lens comprises a liquid-filled polymer lens, a lower electrode, a hydrophilic pattern, an insulation layer, and a transparent upper electrode. It also provides a manufacturing method of tunable micro-aspheric lens. It comprises the following procedures: firstly, it forms a lower electrode with Fresnel diffraction fringes. Further, it forms an insulation layer. Furthermore, it determines the position of a liquid-filled polymer lens. Afterwards, it controls the bottom area and the central height of the liquid-filled polymer lens. The tunable micro-aspheric lens eliminates the impact of spherical aberration. Eventually, it achieves the effects of increasing spot resolution, reducing focused spots, and providing a better optical quality.
