Abstract
Since all of materials used to fabricate conventional multilayer coating film are not high-entropy materials, the material design of the conventional multilayer coating film is hence limited. In view of that, the present invention particularly makes at least two high-entropy material films and other non- high-entropy material films stack on each other, or at least two high-entropy material films stack on each other, so as to form a multi-film structure capable of being coated on the surface of a workpiece. It is worth explaining that, because the formed multi-film structure contains interlaminar interfaces to prevent cracks to propagate and to reduce plastic deformation, the hardness and toughness of the workpiece coated with this inventive multi-film structure would be enhanced. Moreover, the appearance color of the workpiece can also be changed or improved by the colour presented by the multi-film structure, wherein the type of the colour is dependent on the optical interferences occurring in the multi-film structure.
