Abstract
The invention provides a multi-resolution wave beam pattern design method of an antenna array system, the wave beam pattern design method is suitable for the antenna array system, an antenna array in the antenna array system is composed of a plurality of antenna elements, the wave beam pattern design method comprises the following steps: setting a plurality of first wave beam forming vectors with a first resolution, wherein each of the plurality of first beamforming vectors respectively corresponds to all antenna elements in the antenna array. Corresponding weights are assigned to phases of the plurality of first beamforming vectors, respectively, to generate a plurality of first beamforming vectors assigned with the corresponding weights, and the plurality of first beamforming vectors assigned with the corresponding weights are linearly combined to synthesize a provisional vector having a second resolution. A phase of each element in the provisional vector is extracted and a fixed amplitude is provided to the phase of each element in the extracted provisional vector to produce a final beamforming vector.
