Abstract
The invention discloses a preparation method of nano-scale platinum (Pt) using an open-loop reduction system. The preparation method comprises of the following steps: disposing the carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as support, a Pt precursor, a reducing agent, and deionized water in a flask; heating the flask at a specific temperature range so as to reduce nano-scale Pt on the CNTs by the process of water evaporation in the flask. The generated water vapor flows through a condenser to a condenser, in which the water vapor could be condensed into liquid water by a condenser. The liquid outflow can be collected with a beaker placed under the condenser. The present invention can enhance the Pt reduction rate by gradually increasing the concentration of the precursor solution, and may also obtain the nano-scale Pt with smaller particle size, highly-uniform dispersion on CNTs, and high electrocatalytic lattice orientations and superior electrochemical properties.
