Abstract
There is provided a plasma display panel driving circuit for improving illuminating efficiency and resolution, in which a switch circuit is connected in the plasma display panel driving circuit. The plasma display panel is formed by mutually connecting a plurality of switch devices and battery devices to generate mutual driving signals to further drive the plasma display panel to operate, and to execute an energy recovery operation when switching the switch device. The switch circuit includes an energy coupling transformer, a switch device and a diode in connection. The switch circuit is connected to a mutual connection terminal of the plasma display panel driving circuit. By the erase voltage waveforms with different slopes generated by the switch circuit, it is able to effectively remove the wall charges, improve the overall system efficiency and increase the reliability. Furthermore, the switch circuit can generate self-discharges by space charges in the sustain discharge period without increasing extra voltage level and circuit complexity, thereby increasing the illuminating efficiency.
