Abstract
The present invention relates to a feed-forward power factor corrected (PFC) converter with wide range output voltage and a method thereof. The active power factor corrected converter includes a built-in boost PFC converter and a buck PFC converter. When a required voltage of the backward stage power converter is greater than the input rectified voltage, the boost PFC converter is enabled and the buck PFC converter is disabled. When the required voltage of the backward stage power converter is smaller than the input rectified voltage, the buck PFC converter is enabled and the boost PFC converter is disabled.
