Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of forming micro-droplets and chips thereof. The method comprises: directing at least two different insoluble liquids to a micro-channel in the same direction; blocking and cutting the liquids in the micro-channel by a blocking device; and then letting through the liquids so as to make a liquid become micro-droplets in another liquid. The method of the invention can be applied to the fabrications of emulsifying agents, cosmetics, and drugs, and the related applications. The chip of the invention has at least three micro-channels and a blocking device, wherein two of the micro-channels are used to lead two different liquids into them and direct the liquids to another micro-channel. The blocking device is used to block and cut the liquid into micro-droplets.
