Abstract
A micro-droplet forming chip comprises a flow-mixing layer and an attaching layer that attaches to the flow-mixing layer. The flow-mixing layer includes a mixing unit and an auxiliary unit, which are formed by recessing a surface thereof, and a first deformable wall between the mixing unit and the auxiliary unit. The attaching layer has a number of through holes communicating liquid-inlet ducts, a liquid-collecting duct, and the auxiliary unit of the flow-mixing layer respectively. When a first liquid and a second liquid are flowing in the mixing unit, the first liquid is subjected to an impact force induced by the second liquid and compression induced by the first deformable wall at the same time so that the first liquid is sheared and chopped into micro-droplets mixed in the second liquid. This invention adds the auxiliary unit and the first deformable wall to help the formation of micro-droplets; thus, it has an active control effect in the formation of micro-droplets.
