Abstract
The invention relates to a balanced puzzle antenna beam searching method for a multiple-input-multiple-output operation, wherein a transmitting end capable of supporting N different antenna beams divides the antenna beam into a balance group having an even number of antenna beams corresponding to antenna sectors, and a residual group by using a balanced puzzle concept, and determines whether the balance group contains a target antenna beam corresponding to the receiving end according to a feedback signal of an estimation result of a sector sweeping program related to the antenna sector and executed by using a hierarchical multi-resolution codebook; when the determination is affirmative, a sub-group self-captured from the balanced group and containing the target antenna beam determines thetarget antenna beam; otherwise, the target antenna beam is determined from the residual group. The balanced puzzle antenna beam searching method for a multiple-input-multiple-output operation in the invention can effectively reduce the search time and greatly reduce the search complexity.
