Abstract
An automatic microfluidic system for antibiotic susceptibility testing of the present disclosure at least includes a microfluidic chip. The microfluidic chip at least includes a fluid storage unit, a reaction unit, a pneumatic micro-pumping unit and a plurality of valve units. Accordingly, the developed microfluidic system provides a simple method for performing an arrangement of the bacterial solution and a dilution of the antibiotic solution during the antibiotic susceptibility testing in an automated format. The present microfluidic system can transfer fluids quantitatively and then mix the fluids efficiently. Therefore, a minimum inhibitory concentration or a fractional inhibitory concentration index can be rapidly and preciously detected through the present disclosure.
