Abstract
An intra mode prediction selecting method is disclosed. The steps of the method mentioned above includes: receiving a compress profile and a display resolution of a frame data. Selecting a plurality of selecting mode according to the compress profile and the display resolution and arrange the selecting modes in order for calculating a plurality of cost function corresponding to the selecting modes sequentially. Finally, comparing the cost function and selecting one of the selecting modes to be the prediction mode of the frame data according to the comparing result.
