Abstract
An energy-saving glass and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The energy-saving glass includes a glass substrate and a periodic metal unit. The periodic metal unit is disposed on the glass substrate, and defines a plurality of round holes which are periodically arranged. The round holes are hexagonally and closely packed along two dimensions. The round holes can be easily formed as compared to other holes with one or more acute or right angles. With the hexagonally and closely packed round holes, the variables used for a simulation can be reduced to four variables such as the material and thickness of the periodic metal unit, the diameter of the round holes, and a distance between any two adjacent round holes, thereby facilitating the simulation. This energy-saving glass possesses good quality, and facilitates design and manufacture.
