Abstract
A method and system for handling mobile phone database overflow is disclosed. As the first mobile phone user sends out the registration request to the visitor location register (VLR), determine whether the registration record of the visitor location register is full or not. If it is full, then the visitor location register selects a second mobile phone user as an overflow user, and then transfers the user's position information into the location code. Furthermore, transfer the registration request of the first mobile phone user, as well as the identification code and the location code of the second mobile phone user to the home location register (HLR), and store the location code of the second mobile phone user into the home location register (HLR), then reset the location code of the first mobile phone to 0. Finally, the visitor location register deletes the record of the second mobile phone user, and then stores the information of the first mobile phone user into the visitor location register.
