Abstract
An image processing method applicable to images captured by a wide-angle zoomable lens comprises: A. utilizing the wide-angle zoomable lens to photograph a correction pattern under a predetermined focal length to obtain a distorted image corresponding to the correction pattern; B. obtaining a distortion parameter at the predetermined focal length by calculation for the distortion image; C. using the wide-angle zoomable lens to obtain the distorted image of a specific target under another focal length; D. obtaining a new distortion parameter by calculation based on the distortion parameter obtained from Step B and relationship between the another focal length and the predetermined focal length; and E. using the new distortion parameter to correct distortion of the distorted image corresponding to the specific target. The present invention can perform distortion correction for real-time images captured by the wide-angle zoomable lens.
