Abstract
The present invention discloses an application of Helminthostachys zeylanica, ugonin and a compound as formula (I) for treating or preventing metabolic diseases including at least one from the group composed of the followings: metabolic syndrome, excessive fat accumulation, fatness, overweight, fatty liver, hepatic steatosis, hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver cancer, dyslipidemia, hyperlipidemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hyperlipoproteinemia, hypercholesterolemia, cardiovascular diseases, hyperglycemia, hyperinsulinemia, diabetes mellitus type 2, insulin resistance, insulin imbalance, glucose intolerance and their combinations.
