Abstract
The present invention provide a tunable transmissive display system with electro-wetting and interference, which includes a lower electrode, an upper electrode and an electro-wetting liquid deposited between the upper electrode and the middle layer stacking and overlaying on a substrate. Said lower electrode is covered with electro-wetting liquid that is defined by means like ink-jet manner. The pixel formed by said lower electrode, upper electrode and electro-wetting liquid may be designed in any determined shape with accordance with the upper and lower electrode, to pride different performance and application. Besides mechanical and electrical properties consideration, the design of each layer mainly falls on the selectable optical transparent (spectra) range. Thereafter it can simplify the structure and process steps, also reveal better pattern properties (i.e. contrast) and energy-saving (e.g. static operation and environmental brightness control) on system applications.
