Abstract
This study integrates 360-degree videos into senior-year teaching internship courses to cultivate teaching abilities and learning interests among pre-service teachers. The research questions addressed are: How does using 360-degree videos as an observation and discussion tool affect pre-service teachers' teaching abilities and learning interests? How do pre-service teachers experience 360-degree videos? What are the instructors' professional growth and reflections? Data collection methods include interviews, observations, document collection, and questionnaires. Both quantitative and qualitative analyses were conducted after data collection. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. Using 360-degree videos as an observation and discussion tool has resulted in pre-service teachers' teaching abilities at an above-average level. 2. Using 360-degree videos as an observation and discussion tool can increase pre-service teachers' learning interest. 3. Pre-service teachers' experiences with 360-degree videos are positive. 4. Using 360-degree videos as an observation and discussion tool can promote instructors' professional growth and reflection. Based on the findings, the study suggests that 1. Pre-service teachers should be trained in video recording and conversion techniques. 2. For discussion sessions, it is recommended to include two video segments, one selected by the instructor and one by the researcher, to cover different perspectives. Future sessions can also consider including videos selected by observers based on their feedback. 3. Future studies can employ a quasi-experimental design by including a control group that does not use 360-degree videos for comparison.
