Abstract
The goal of the 12-year national education curriculum guideline was to cultivate students' competency to face future challenges. The STEAM education model echoes the new curriculum guideline. It focuses on daily life issues and introduces elements of science, mathematics, technology, engineering and art into the curriculum in order to educate students to interdisciplinary learning and solve daily life problems.The purpose of this teaching practice research program was to cultivate students with the ability to integrate STEAM education into physical education curriculum design. The curriculum design adopts the STEAM education model to integrate into the teaching method courses in the field of health and physical education We using cooperative learning method, allowing students to form a professional growth community to design a teaching program. After completing the first draft of the teaching plan, the teaching practice is carried out through action research. The results of this project: (1) Physical education students completed 6 physical education teaching programs with STEAM education model; (2) To understand the feelings of physical education students on the physical education curriculum design of competency-oriented STEAM education; (3) Through teaching actions, the researcher can be improved professional development. Through this teaching practice research program, the students can understand the STEAM education mode and the ability to design competency-based physical education curriculum, and ultimately cultivate excellent teachers with literacy-oriented STEAM physical education curriculum design and teaching.
