Abstract
Background: The sports technology industry urgently needs talent investment. I tried to adapt five STEAM categories, including science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics in 2019, but found that they lacked a reasonable arrangement of thematic courses. The ADDIE topic-based teaching system had a clear topic-based design process, allowing students to complete the topic production step by step. Purpose: To explore the ADDIE thematic teaching system to improve the construction and learning effectiveness of sports equipment technology STEAM courses. Curriculum implementation method: To implement the curriculum according to the five stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of ADDIE thematic teaching system. The contents of the five major areas of STEAM were placed in the design stage. Student assessment: The evaluation was divided into three aspects: cognition, affection and skills. They were online discussion and evaluation, sports equipment technology design report (comprehensive teacher, peer evaluation, STEAM scholars, industry experts, etc.), class participation and attendance, STEAM professors and industry teachers lecture experience and multiple results were published. Project effectiveness evaluation: Adopting parallel quality and quantification was collected in teaching feedback form (Office of Academic Affairs). For the quantification evaluation, After the introduction of the ADDIE thematic teaching system and the implementation of the five areas of STEAM, most of the five aspects of teachers' teaching methods, classroom content, teaching material satisfaction, classroom teaching satisfaction and learning experience were better than other general subject teaching. Qualitative information such as "Students Discuss on Teaching Platform", "Semi-structured Student Interviews" and "Reflections" all provided positive feedback. Conclusion: The STEAM course content of the ADDIE thematic teaching system could effectively construct teaching materials and improve the teaching efficiency of sports technology design.
