因為對於孩子學習歷程的好奇，赴美取得幼兒教育領域哲學博士學位。累積二十多年學術與實務經驗，曾在台灣及美國的幼兒園工作；在研究上，長期和原住民地區教師合作，發展課程增進幼兒之中文讀寫能力、科學及工程實作、及族語能力。研究初期發展融入原住民文化之聲韻介入課程，並帶領部落國幼班教師實施課程，幫助原住民幼兒在學業與族群認同之雙文化發展。近年發展幼兒STEM教育課程，並在部落及一般幼兒園實施課程及評估幼兒在科學與工程實作的發展。近期轉向運用原住民知識的文化持續課程，發展讓幼兒學習族語之讀本教材。目前執行計畫為整合AI語音及翻譯系統，設計族語學習網頁，以幫助族語與原住民知識傳承。關注多元族群（包含新住民、原住民）教育議題，希望藉由資源的投入讓教育均等及社會正義成為可能。
在國際期刊及專業成長雜誌發表研究成果，曾獲得國科會優秀年輕學者研究獎勵，也獲得國立清華大學的傑出研究獎及多年彈性薪資獎勵。研究專長為幼兒STEM教育、社會文化取向讀寫學習、運用原住民知識的幼兒族語與STEM課程、多元文化課程與教育研究、及質化研究方法與分析軟體。
Dr. Ching-Ting Hsin is a Professor & Chair in the Department of Early Childhood Education at Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. She has accumulated over 20 years of experience in academia and the classroom. She was a preschool and kindergarten teacher in Taiwan and the U.S. Her research focuses on working with Indigenous communities to improve young children’s literacy in Chinese, Indigenous languages, and science and engineering practices. She developed and implemented culturally relevant phonological curricula for young Indigenous children, emphasizing literacy and identity development. She also developed early STEM curriculum modules to improve the science and engineering practices of Indigenous and mainstream children. Recently, adopting Indigenous knowledge, she created books for young children to learn the Atayal language. Her current project is integrating AI speech and translation systems and developing a website to facilitate the transmission of Indigenous languages and cultures.
Dr. Hsin focuses on issues related to children of diverse cultural backgrounds (i.e., Indigenous and new-immigrant children), hoping that more educational resources will be invested in underrepresented communities and that the goal of educational equity can be achieved.
Dr. Hsin has published articles in quality peer-reviewed journals. She received the Young Scholar Research Grant Award from the National Science and Technology Council in Taiwan. She has also received the Distinguished Research Award (2025) and Flexible Salary for Outstanding Faculty and Research Staff from her university for several years. Her research interests include early STEM education, sociocultural approaches to literacies, culturally sustaining early Indigenous languages and STEM curricula, multicultural education, and qualitative research methods.
