Chuo-Chun Jean Hsieh

My scholarship lies at the intersection of education policy, governance, higher education, and teacher education. I investigate how educational reforms travel across contexts, how governance arrangements mediate policy implementation, and how professional actors exercise agency within complex institutional environments. Grounded in comparative and international research, my work contributes to debates on decentralization, polycentric governance, teacher professionalism, and the internationalization of higher education, with a particular focus on Taiwan and East Asian education systems. I welcome opportunities for international research collaboration, especially with scholars interested in comparative education, policy reform, institutional change, and the evolving governance of education systems across different national and regional contexts.
